Ballooning Days at Lake Achensee
A journey through the winter sky: Climb on board, take off, enjoy the freedom while floating above ground. Anyone who wants to experience the special feeling of drifting in lofty heights over the snow-covered landscape should save the date for the Ballooning Days Achensee.
The colourful hot air balloons will start up every day for passenger rides into the winter sky. The 5-hour experience includes: greeting & registration, safety briefing, invitation to help inflate and deflate the balloon, balloon ride, landing, transport back to the launch site, and the traditional certificate presentation and reception.
Tip: You will have the opportunity to watch the balloon take off live. As the exact time can vary and takes place in the early hours of the morning, please enquire at the information office in advance. Please also note that the balloon can only be tracked for a short time depending on the wind conditions. So that you can admire the balloons for longer, a special highlight takes place every year: the Nightglow.

Invitation to help inflate and deflate the balloon, balloon ride (Duration: minimum 60 min), traditional certificate presentation and reception, passenger accident insurance. Max. 8 passengers per ride
We would also like to point out that catering is not included in the booked ride.

Please bring the following items on the day of the event and hand them over to the responsible staff member at the launch site:
- Voucher for the balloon ride
- Completed balloon tickets (print here)
- IMPORTANT: All 3 balloon tickets must be completed with name, address and weight. Please add your signature in the last field.
Also remember to wear appropriate clothing (sturdy shoes, hat, gloves, warm jacket, UV protection if necessary, sunglasses). Upon registration, every participant agrees to the liability exclusion.
Should the balloon ride be cancelled due to critical weather conditions or should it be necessary to change the launch site, we will contact you one day in advance by email or by phone at the number you have provided. In this case you may already arrange a suitable alternative date (see dates on www.achensee.com). THANK YOU for being flexible.
