Festive Advent in a centuries-old barn!

Tirolean Mountain Christmas in Achenkirch

Step into a traditional Tirolean single farmhouse, home to the Sixenhof local history museum, and discover the magic of the Tirolean Mountain Christmas. Inside the centuries-old barn, you'll find a captivating nativity scene with life-size figures and real live animals. For 25 minutes, a rich, sonorous voice narrates the "Achental version" of the birth of Jesus Christ, enhanced by visual projections. Cosy lighting and the sounds of the animals create a peaceful, festive atmosphere. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree and one of the oldest Christmas cribs in the Achental add to the charm.

Light refreshments are available. Warm up with hot drinks and “Zelten”, a traditional fruit bread from the local bakery. Admission to the Tirolean Mountain Christmas also includes entry to the museum's exhibition rooms. For an even more special experience, combine your visit with a serene Christmas cruise on Lake Achensee.
