Snowshoeing Through the Winter Wonderland
Feel the crunch of fresh snow beneath your feet and marvel at the thousands of ice crystals sparkling in the crisp winter air. There's no better way to experience the magic of winter at Lake Achensee than on a peaceful snowshoe hike.
For an especially memorable experience, join two guided hikes offered as part of the Achensee winter hiking programme! Led by knowledgeable nature park rangers, these educational excursions take you deep into the heart of the Nature Park Karwendel. Along the way, you’ll gain fascinating insights into the natural environment, learn how to respect nature, and explore the habitats of local wildlife. Keep an eye out for animal tracks in the snow - can you guess which wild creatures have recently passed through? With a spotting scope provided by the rangers, you’ll even be able to observe animals from a distance. But it’s not all about wildlife! These hikes also include fun activities such as studying snow formations, identifying tree buds, and learning about winter plants.
If snow conditions aren’t suitable for snowshoeing, the hikes will be on foot.
